पावनखिंड दिन उत्साहात साजरा
दि. १३ जुलै रोजी एम.ई.एस. इंग्लिश मीडियम स्कूल, शिरवळ येथे 'पावनखिंड दिन' अत्यंत उत्साहपूर्ण व प्रेरणादायी वातावरणात साजरा करण्यात आला. विद्यार्थ्यांमध्ये इतिहासाविषयी प्रेम, राष्ट्रभक्ती आणि स्वराज्याच्या प्रेरणादायी विचारांची जाणीव निर्माण करण्याच्या उद्देशाने या विशेष कार्यक्रमाचे आयोजन करण्यात आले.
कार्यक्रमाची सुरुवात विद्यार्थ्यांना 'पावनखिंड' हा ऐतिहासिक चित्रपट दाखवून करण्यात आली. या कार्यक्रमाचे विशेष आकर्षण म्हणजे या चित्रपटात बाजीप्रभू देशपांडे यांची प्रभावी भूमिका साकारणारे अभिनेते अजय पुरकर हे स्वतः विद्यार्थ्यांशी संवाद साधण्यासाठी उपस्थित होते.
कार्यक्रमाच्या प्रारंभी शिवज्योत प्रज्वलित करून छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराजांच्या प्रतिमेचे पूजन करण्यात आले.
त्यानंतर शाळेच्या मुख्याध्यापिका स्वाती जोशी यांनी प्रास्ताविक केले. आपल्या मनोगतात त्यांनी सांगितले की, विद्यार्थ्यांचा सर्वांगीण विकास घडविण्यासाठी शाळेमार्फत शैक्षणिक उपक्रमांबरोबरच सामाजिक, राष्ट्रीय, ऐतिहासिक आणि मूल्याधिष्ठित उपक्रमांचे सातत्याने आयोजन केले जाते. त्याचाच एक भाग म्हणून 'पावनखिंड दिन' साजरा करण्यात येत असून अशा उपक्रमांमधून विद्यार्थ्यांना इतिहासातून प्रेरणा घेण्याची संधी मिळते.
यानंतर प्रमुख पाहुणे अजय पुरकर यांनी विद्यार्थ्यांशी मुक्त संवाद साधला. विद्यार्थ्यांशी बोलताना त्यांनी सांगितले की, "ऐतिहासिक चित्रपट पुन्हा पुन्हा पाहताना प्रत्येक वेळी त्याकडे नव्या दृष्टीने पाहण्याचा प्रयत्न करा. छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराजांचे चरित्र वाचताना त्यांच्याकडून वेळेचे नियोजन, शिस्त, चारित्र्यसंपन्नता, नेतृत्वगुण आणि राष्ट्रप्रेम या मूल्यांचा स्वीकार करा. तसेच ऐतिहासिक व देशभक्तीपर चित्रपट सातत्याने पाहिल्यास आपल्या समृद्ध इतिहासाची अधिक चांगली ओळख होते."
संवाद सत्रामध्ये विद्यार्थ्यांनी अजय पुरकर यांना अनेक उत्स्फूर्त प्रश्न विचारले. 'बाजीप्रभू देशपांडे यांची भूमिका साकारताना आपल्याला काय वाटले?' या प्रश्नाला उत्तर देताना त्यांनी, "कृतज्ञता हीच एक भावना माझ्या मनात होती," असे भावनिक उत्तर दिले. अभिनय क्षेत्रातील त्यांच्या प्रवासाविषयी तसेच विविध भूमिकांबाबतही विद्यार्थ्यांनी उत्सुकतेने प्रश्न विचारले.
अभिनयाबरोबरच संगीत क्षेत्रातही त्यांनी उल्लेखनीय कार्य केले असल्याने विद्यार्थ्यांच्या आग्रहास्तव त्यांनी 'शूर आम्ही सरदार' हे प्रेरणादायी गीत सादर केले. त्यांच्या दमदार सादरीकरणाला विद्यार्थ्यांनी उत्स्फूर्त दाद दिली.
कार्यक्रमाच्या अध्यक्षीय भाषणात शाळा समितीचे अध्यक्ष डॉ. राजीव हजिरनिस यांनी विद्यार्थ्यांशी झालेला अजय पुरकर यांचा संवाद अत्यंत प्रेरणादायी असल्याचे सांगितले. तसेच इयत्ता दहावीच्या विद्यार्थ्यांना 'पावनखिंड' येथे सहलीला घेऊन येण्याचे आयोजन करण्यात येईल, असे आश्वासन त्यांनी दिले.
महाराष्ट्र एज्युकेशन सोसायटीचे आजीव सदस्य तथा शाळा समितीचे सदस्य डॉ रवींद्र वैद्य यांच्या पुढाकारातून प्रमुख पाहुणे म्हणून अभिनेते अजय पुरकर यांना निमंत्रित करण्यात आले होते.
कार्यक्रमास महाराष्ट्र एज्युकेशन सोसायटीचे आजीव सदस्य तथा शाळा समितीचे महामात्र डॉ. निर्भय पिंपळे, आजीव सदस्य तथा शाळा समितीचे सदस्य डॉ. अजिंक्य देशपांडे, आजीव सदस्य डॉ. नेहा देशपांडे तसेच प्रणिता जोगळेकर यांची प्रमुख उपस्थिती लाभली. सर्व मान्यवरांनी विद्यार्थ्यांना अशा ऐतिहासिक आणि प्रेरणादायी उपक्रमांमध्ये सहभागी होण्याचे आवाहन केले.
या कार्यक्रमाचे सूत्रसंचालन सहाय्यक शिक्षिका रेशमाली टापरे यांनी प्रभावीपणे केले, तर आभार प्रदर्शन विशाल कोरडे यांनी केले.
इतिहासातील शौर्य, त्याग, राष्ट्रनिष्ठा आणि प्रेरणादायी मूल्यांचा वारसा विद्यार्थ्यांपर्यंत पोहोचविणारा हा 'पावनखिंड दिन' विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी अविस्मरणीय आणि प्रेरणादायी ठरला.
कार्यक्रमाची सांगता प्रमुख पाहुण्यांच्या हस्ते वृक्षारोपण करून करण्यात आली. या प्रसंगी उपस्थित सर्वांनी पर्यावरण संवर्धनाचा संदेशही दिला.

The programme continued with the felicitation of HSC and SSC Rank Holders (Academic Year 2025–26). The meritorious students were honoured for their outstanding academic performance with Gifts. Their achievements were appreciated by all, and they were congratulated for bringing laurels to the institution.
The Chief Guest, Mrs. Ankita Agarwal, delivered an inspiring speech, motivating students to work hard, remain focused, and uphold values in life. Thereafter, Mr. Purushottam Pimple addressed the gathering and appreciated the efforts of the school in providing quality education and nurturing young minds.
The President of the function, Dr. Rajiv Hazarnis sir , delivered the presidential address and congratulated the students, teachers, and parents for the school's remarkable achievements. He expressed confidence that the institution would continue to excel in academics and co-curricular activities.
The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks, proposed by Mrs. Sujata Tekade, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the President, Chief Guest, dignitaries, management, teachers, parents, students, and all those who contributed to the successful organization of the event.
The celebration ended on a patriotic note with the slogan "Jai Hind!" The programme was successfully anchored by Mr. Prakash Dhanwade, ensuring the smooth and graceful conduct of the entire event.
Overall, the programme was a grand success and served as a memorable occasion to celebrate the school's foundation, inaugurate Vargavani, and honour the academic excellence of the SSC and HSC Rank Holders of the academic year 2025–26.

MES English Medium School, Shirwal celebrated its School Foundation Day, Inauguration of Vargavani, and Felicitation of SSC & HSC Rank Holders (2025–26) with great enthusiasm and dignity on 2nd July 2026. The programme was attended by the President of the function, Chief Guest, dignitaries, members of the management, Headmistress, teachers, parents, students, and well-wishers.
The programme commenced with the Saraswati Pujan, invoking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati for wisdom and knowledge. The ceremony was followed by a melodious welcome performance by the MES Song Group, which created a pleasant and devotional atmosphere.
Mrs. Deepali Madam introduced the Chief Guest and highlighted the achievements and contributions of the dignitaries. The Chief Guest, President, and other dignitaries were then felicitated with flowers and mementoes as a token of gratitude.
A significant highlight of the event was the Inauguration of "Vargavani", the school's new initiative. The inauguration was performed by the Chief Guest Mrs.Ankita Agrawal , in the presence of the dignitaries, marking another milestone in the school's journey.
The gathering was then addressed by the Headmistress, Mrs. Swati Joshi, who welcomed everyone and spoke about the vision, achievements, and future plans of the institution. She encouraged students to pursue excellence with dedication and discipline.

पालक मार्गदर्शन व्याख्यान
शनिवार, दिनांक २७ जून २०२६ रोजी एम.ई.एस. इंग्लिश मीडियम स्कूल, शिरवळ येथे "विद्यार्थ्यांमधील वाढता सोशल मीडियाचा वापर व त्याचे दुष्परिणाम" या विषयावर पालकांसाठी मार्गदर्शनपर व्याख्यानाचे आयोजन करण्यात आले.
या कार्यक्रमासाठी शिरवळ पोलीस स्थानकाचे पोलीस उपनिरीक्षक श्री. सतीश अंदेलवार हे प्रमुख मार्गदर्शक म्हणून उपस्थित होते. त्यांनी विद्यार्थ्यांमध्ये वाढत असलेल्या मोबाईल व सोशल मीडियाच्या वापराबाबत पालकांना सविस्तर मार्गदर्शन केले.
मार्गदर्शन करताना त्यांनी Snapchat, Instagram यांसारख्या विविध सोशल मीडिया ॲप्सच्या वापरामुळे उद्भवणारे धोके, सायबर गुन्हे, ऑनलाइन फसवणूक, सायबर बुलिंग, गोपनीयतेचा भंग तसेच अयोग्य माहितीच्या संपर्कात येण्याचे दुष्परिणाम याविषयी उदाहरणांसह माहिती दिली.
तसेच पालकांनी आपल्या मुलांनी मोबाईलवर कोणते ॲप्स वापरतात, कोणत्या सोशल मीडिया प्लॅटफॉर्मवर खाते तयार केले आहे, त्यांचा ऑनलाइन वावर कसा आहे याकडे जागरूकपणे लक्ष देणे आवश्यक असल्याचे त्यांनी सांगितले. मुलांशी नियमित संवाद साधून त्यांना मोबाईल व सोशल मीडियाचा सुरक्षित, जबाबदारीने आणि मर्यादित वापर करण्यासाठी योग्य मार्गदर्शन करण्याचे आवाहनही त्यांनी केले.
या व्याख्यानातून पालकांमध्ये डिजिटल सुरक्षिततेबाबत जागरूकता निर्माण झाली. उपस्थित पालकांनी या उपयुक्त व माहितीपूर्ण मार्गदर्शनाचे कौतुक केले.

Introduction:
Every year, 21st June is celebrated worldwide as the International Day of Yoga. This year too, International Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in our school. The main objective of organizing this programme was to promote health, discipline, and concentration among students.
Programme Details:
1. Inauguration:
The programme commenced at 3:30 p.m. with a Yoga Formation Dance presented by the students. Sports Teacher Mr. Vishal delivered the introductory speech and explained the significance of International Yoga Day. The guest speaker, Mr. Sugrao Harne, elaborated on the concept behind celebrating Yoga Day. He explained that International Yoga Day has been celebrated globally since 2015 and highlighted the importance of yoga in maintaining harmony among the mind, body, and soul. He emphasized that yoga helps in reducing stress and preventing diseases. He also encouraged students and teachers to practise yoga regularly.
2. Demonstration and Yoga Asanas:
Under the guidance of renowned Ayurvedacharya Mr. Sugrao Harne, all students and teachers actively participated in performing various yoga asanas. The session included:
- Surya Namaskar
- Standing Asanas: Tadasana, Vrikshasana, Trikonasana
- Sitting Asanas: Padmasana, Vajrasana, Paschimottanasana
- Prone Position Asanas: Bhujangasana, Shalabhasana
- Pranayama: Anulom-Vilom, Kapalbhati, and Bhramari
The programme concluded with five minutes of meditation followed by a peace prayer.
Ayurvedacharya Mr. Sugrao Harne, in his speech, explained with simple examples how regular yoga practice enhances concentration and improves memory power in studies. He appealed to the students to practise yoga for at least twenty minutes every day.
3. Pledge:
All the participants took a pledge saying, "I will practise yoga every day and inspire others to do the same."
Conclusion:
The programme concluded at 4:30 p.m. with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Kapil Katkar, Sports Teacher of the Primary Section.
On the first day of the school Reopening, various activities were conducted to motivate and engage the students.

Std 7th My Qualities - students identified their strengths and positive traits.
Std 8th to 10th- A letter to my future self - students reflected on their hopes, goals, and commitments for this year.

The activities created enthusiasm and positivity among the students. They encouraged self reflection, goals setting, confidence and active participation, making the Reopening Day meaningful and inspiring.
Welcome Ceremony for– Primary and secondary Section
Date: 15th June 2026
On the occasion of the first day of the new academic year, a warm and joyful Welcome Ceremony was celebrated in the Primary and Secondary Section at M.E.S. English Medium School, Shirwal.
The newcomers entered the school premises by untying a ribbon at the entrance gate, symbolizing the beginning of their educational journey. They were welcomed with great enthusiasm amidst the rhythmic beats of the Ghosh Pathak and cheerful applause from teachers, students, and parents. The primary teachers had specially prepared attractive paper crowns for the newcomers. The students happily wore these colorful crowns, adding excitement and joy to the celebration. A large number of parents were present to witness this memorable occasion.
The students of the Secondary Section also extended a warm welcome to the newcomers by presenting them with beautiful handmade bouquets prepared by the students themselves.
The formal programme commenced with Saraswati Poojan. Mrs. Sujata Tekade Madam shared valuable information about the school and highlighted its achievements. Honourable Principal Mrs. Swati Joshi Madam welcomed the newcomers and their parents with her inspiring words and best wishes for a successful academic journey.
The ceremony created a joyful and welcoming atmosphere, making the newcomers feel comfortable, valued, and excited about their new beginning at M.E.S. English Medium School, Shirwal.
